The ‘Good Enough’ Tour: A Night With Taylor Acorn // Dallas, TX
The affinity between Taylor Acorn and her fans is something best felt, rather than described. Needless to say, it was more than apparent one rainy night in Dallas Texas. Enclosed within the walls of The House of Blues, the crowd was more than ready for Acorn’s emotive performance. Shared personal stories found in moments between songs allowed a connection with the audience to form on a deeper level. It was the perfect formula to make the night feel like a gathering of friends in all of the best ways.
Leaving no room for people to question the validity of her set for her first headlining tour, Taylor opened the night with “Gray”. Acorn immediately took hold of everyone in attendance, and reminded them of why they were there. The catalog of songs for the night featured a mix of fan favorites and tracks from her anticipated new album. Acorn showcased her evolution as an artist in such a relatively short timespan we’ve been with her on this ride. Followed up with an electrifying rendition of “True Crime” featuring John Sinclair from World’s First Cinema accompanying her on violin. Yes, you read that sentence correctly. All songs including newly acclaimed crowd favorite “Greener” paved the way for the encore everyone was waiting to jump and sing along to – “Shapeshifting”.
A combination of pure authenticity added with her undeniable talent, made the evening unforgettable for everyone in attendance. It’s without a doubt easy to understand why the crowd is more than eager for Acorn’s return to The Lone Star State this October supporting Dashboard Confessional.
