The ‘Worse Things Than Being Alive’ TourBayside, Finch, Amour For Sleep, and Winona Fighter // Dallas, TX

On April 14th, the House of Blues in Dallas became the epicenter of an unforgettable night. This was courtesy of The ‘Worse Things Than Being Alive’ Tour, headlined by Bayside and featuring Finch, Amour for Sleep, and Winona Fighter. The tour promised an evening filled with a sense of camaraderie that only live music can offer.

The anticipation was palpable and instantaneously felt through the room as Winona Fighter set the standard for the night. Commanding the attention of the whole crowd, you couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of hope for the future of the punk scene.

Both support acts, Armor for Sleep and Finch, had a way of grabbing us by the nostalgic post-hardcore heartstrings. Both bands gave nods to the past with rhythmically balanced setlists combined of fan favorites and deep cuts. The stage was primed for New York’s very own, Bayside.

The moment the lights dimmed and the chords of Pigsty boomed through the speakers, everyone knew what time it was. It had been a little over a year since the last time Bayside had graced Dallas with their presence. However, their intensity was as if they had to make up for lost time. Captured in the faces of the fans in the crowd, Bayside left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to be in attendance. There is absolutely not a doubt in our mind that “The Worse Things Than Being Alive Tour” had delivered on its promise of an unforgettable evening.
